Spyder

The Seedwings Spyder, europe's Number 1 selling king posted high performance glider of 2006!!!

Combine the versatility of a king posted glider with the high performance of a topless glider and you have the one of a kind, the Seedwings Spyder.

In 1997, Seedwings first discovered this concept and since then has developed and fine tuned this technology into the new Spyder range of hang gliders. Seedwings is the only manufacturer world wide that produces this unique form of flying wing. The Spyder is the only king posted glider without even one single pitch cable and, as a standard, built-in pitch compensators. This enables optimum gliding at high speed, with a high safety factor. The pitch setup or "tuning" consists of two dive sticks per side that hold up a single batton that runs over four top sail battons.  Through computer assisted design, the batton profile offers the pilot comfortable and safe start and landing characteristics.

After extensive glid testing and experimentation, we can now say that the new Spyder can, concerning gliding, easily stand up against the high performance gliding models.

A sink rate of 1,8 m (10.8 to 1 Glide Ratio) at 70 km/h is no coincidence. With years of hang glider production, research and development, Seedwings brings a new glider out on the market with which the pilot will be extremely pleased with. Glider perfection and customer satisfaction go hand in hand.

We have invested a lot of valuable time and effort into our sail production. Seedwings has a reputation for on of the finest manufactured sails in the world, the new Spyder is a shining example of this. With the spatial bottom sail cut of the new fluid leading edge/tip overlap, the high performance rip stop trailing edge cloth or the state of the art snap batten clips, the complete package make the Spyder on of the most successful gliders of its time.

In design as well as manufacturing, performance and safety the Spyder is unsurpassable!
